Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his distinctive style. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs the singer has done work across the globe. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing and playing the piano in church. Her music career started in Atlanta at Spellman College. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
