Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to the musically inclined family of Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. She's also the cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. Her first singing gig was in the choir of her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood at the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally along with the mother of her on Chaka Khan's 1978 smash Im Every Woman. She continued to offer backing vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her own mother and worked briefly as models on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. The singer was first a featured singer for The New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work earned her the attention of big record labels like Arista which she joined in 1983. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut record for an artist in 1985. Singles such as The Greatest Love of All, How Can I Tell If You Give Love and Save the Day and All My Love were all released on the album. These songs enabled Houston to earn seven US top tens which were higher than even those of The Beatles. It was the initial US year, the album was had sold more than 3 million copies. After that, it was to be listened to by more than 25 million people worldwide which earned her the first Grammy. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her first album. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most loved artists. Though the movie was not highly appreciated and neither did her performance, but the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top of both the singles and album charts in America for months. It sold 44,000,000 copies. Their daughter Bobbi was born the month of March of 1993, a year she got married to Bobby Brown. Her daily drug usage was well documented.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both a reporter, anchorwoman and political reporter. In the past, she has been the producer of shows on the network, such as Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics'. Bash has been awarded numerous awards, including a place on the Women in Washington Power List from Elle magazine. Bash is widely praised for her incredible skills as an anchor/reporter.
