She is known for her performances in the roles of Dutch for the Syfy TV series Killjoys, Ornela in the HBO series Game of Thrones, F'Nale Zandor in Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One, and Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Hannah is the eldest of three children born to Nigerian scientific forensics father and Norwegian fashion designer mother from Beverley. Hannah went to Kirk Ella Primary School and Hull Collegiate School for her secondary education. Hannah also completed her training at the London's National Youth Theatre. In 2012, John-Kamen graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama. John-Kamen made her debut in 2011, providing her voice for the video game Dark Souls. Then, in 2011, she made episode appearances in television shows Misfits, Black Mirror and Whitechapel. Also, she appeared as a guest star for The Syndicate 2012, The Midnight Beast 2012 and The Hour 2012. John-Kamen was the first to be cast in Viva Forever, the West End musical Viva Forever in 2012, inspired by Spice Girls' songs. Viva Forever is a musical written and produced by Judy Craymer. It premiered in December 2012 on the Piccadilly Theatre. Reviews were mostly negative. The Daily Mirror praised John Kamen's performance. The newspaper wrote, "It is a shame that an ensemble of talented actors are disappointed, especially Hannah John Kamen's Viva, as well as the rest of Eternity by a cliched story and a sloppy dialogue." The series stopped airing on 29 June 2013. John-Kamen was offered a lead part on SyFy's Killjoys in the year 2015. John-Kamen appeared as a Guest star in the series HBO Game of Thrones. She appeared in "Playtest" an episode of the Black Mirror anthology episode, in 2016. The actress also appeared in Season 2 of The Tunnel, a UK television series The Tunnel and in the superhero film Ant-Man and the Wasp.
